Compac: leading the world in accurate, high speed packhouse technology
Our Compac packing technology grades and sorts to ensure that each piece of produce is exactly the way you need it. Our line will grade and sort with incredible accuracy and speed.
Color: Up to 16 user-defined colors can be graded.
Hue: can sort by average color of the fruit (green to red for tomatoes, yellow shades for lemons, etc)
Weight: Compac sorting machines use an electronic weighing system that is unique to Compac and is unsurpassed in accuracy. Precise weighing results in higher crop returns for Compac customers by reducing give-away in each pack. Our line processes approximately 250 readings in less than 1/10th of a second for each fruit.
Size: Compac InVision systems optically size produce by measuring multiple diameters from multiple digital images of each fruit for the best accuracy. InVision 9000 can optically size fruit and sort for fruit shape. Unusual fruit shapes that impact diameter, such as flatness and elongation, can be separated. The end result is produce that fit correctly into packaging with maximum consumer appeal.
Blemish: InVision 9000 can detect and grade on minor to major defects, ranging from skin blemishes, insect damage, mis-shaped fruit to physical damage. Physical damage (included punctures, cuts and bruising) can be a significant percentage of overall defects. These are often difficult to pick up with the human eye, but can cause fruit breakdown in the marketplace. Compac InVision 9000 is being used to separate damaged fruit prior to shipping to ensure the best return from the crop.
